"YOUR GOD IS NOT HERE!" --Esrever

Overview

An immortal entity, Esrever did not mind the toils of time. He was a normal human once but with a foul-up of a deity, he became the beast that he is.

Physical Traits and Appearance

Esrever is moderately built and not at all imposing, showing only average height and average weight, at least physically. His raven black hair always seemed perpetually windblown. He always sports a pitch black robe with red linings on the armslength and legslength. Is quite the looker though.

His voice always seemed distant, only rarely seeming to be coming from him.

Mentality

Calm, composed, distant though he still has his emotions. Also, erratic. His personality changes ever often, with no known interval. Aeons and aeons of existing made him unmindful of others. He does not fare well in making friendly relationships.

Residence

A castle in the plane of Hex.

Duties

To kill Justicairne, god of justice.

Abilities

Complete control of the dark energies in the Hex plane. A "shadow" that acts as his defensive and offensive measures. Immortality. Gained magic resistance throughout his years. Has the special ability the destory one's specific will(will of action, will of speech, will of thought, will to live).

Esrever's Immortality

Bestowed upon him by unfortunate circumstances, he is ageless and cannot be killed by any conventional means(though the dedicated blast of pure magic and some divine interventions can temporarily knock him out).

Possessions

Shadow cloth. A "gift" from him from Gilver, the god aspect of Malice. It is a malleable material, capable of taking form of any armor piece. It is not limitless though, and it isn't impregnable but still reasonably tough. Esrever currently wears a robe piece.

Adrasha's locket. A trinket he stole from a naked woman whom he knocked unconscious with his power.

NPC Acquaintances

Shalos

A then human Esrever made into a shade, binding him to himself. He was tasked by Esrever to scribe whatever events Esrever done or is doing. Shalos, though not really told to, also took initiative to scribe biographies, geographies, and certain cultural histories for reference and actually his liking to write.

Patrick

A paladin for the god, Justicairne. Patrick's convent faced a vicious attack from Esrever. All his convent brothers were killed but he was spared but not without serious injuries. He was helped by the lady Josephine when he stumbled upon Hamtorn City.

Josephine

A lady from a well-hidden abbey, she too was a victim of Esrever's madness. Her abbey was ravaged by Esrever but she was left unharmed. She found her way into Hamtorn City, and with a moderate amount of gold, somehow tried to live there.

Recent Fatalities

Esrever "died" while being stabbed by Nebulan with Atholasha.

History

Delving deep into Esrever's history can surely make one made as he. Even Shalos, his most "trusted" acquaintance only knows a fraction of him.

One can say that Esrever has lived long enough to see the world a thousand times, then more. He has witnessed the Parting, where the continents where made and the numerous islands that litter the Great Ocean form. Numerous deity misunderstandings, which then led to the many landmarks in present time. And love stories ending with sorrow, despair, rage, and eventually death. His immortality was gained inconveniently though not the standard Faustian deal. He was cursed with it. Never to experience rest. Never to eternally sleep. Never to have the infinite peace.

One of his most amazing feats, if not the, is his duel with the One-Eyed Lord Gnuvaun for the control of the Hex Plane. It would be wise to note that the Lord of Hell did not acquire his title by accident.

A feat that would rival the former would be his near-deicide of Justicairne, the Strong Hammer, patron god of law, order, and retribution. He disapproved of Esrever's claim of the Hex Plane, arguing that no mortal should ever be allowed to be a lord over a plane of existence. The other present gods intervened but not with ease. Though Esrever was stopped, Justicairne, then leader of the pantheon, announced his excommunication of Esrever.
