Fyrehounds

Sometimes called Shadowhounds, or, misleadingly, Hellhounds, Fyrehounds are doggish creatures genetically modified from canis lupis and imbued with fire and shadow magic. While sometimes affectionately called "demons," they are in fact neither demonic nor infernal. Co-created by siblings Yndigo and Michel, the secret of their formation is closely guarded.

Deep Ones

Also called Merfolk, the Deep Ones are amphibious creatures with a snake-like form. They live under the sea, but can survive on land. Competent in magically manipulating water.

They have a higher intelligence than humans, but tend to be more uncivilized.
