The geography of A New World Opens is dominated by islands. They are listed here in order of appearance.

Above is a map of ANWO's islands; the Mainland can be seen on the western edge. Brown marks off territory and yellow and red marks off towns and notable locations on specific islands.

Rouen Isle

Main article: Rouen Isle

A rocky, mountainous island about five miles across. The home of Nebulan's Tower of the Arts, which now is in ruins. Adrasha Vaux has taken up residence in the tower here.

Hawk Isle

Main article: Hawk Isle

A small island about 3 miles across. Owned by Yndigo, the island is home to Yn's Bardic College, and to two small towns.

Granite Cliffs

A rocky island that serves as a quarry to Hawk Isle. Has high exports of minerals.

Pelican Reaches

A rather nondescript island. Presumably uninhabited.

Tanton

Main article: Tanton

A medium-sized island, heavily forested. Home to three different factions: The Tantonians in the northwest, the native Tantonites in the central forests, and a pirate clan on the eastern coast. Generally ignored by the Kingdom for its lack of resources and useful land.

Spire

Main article: Spire

Home of Ackrovan and his servants. An unusual formation that houses unusual ancient texts and devices.

Ereton Rock

A small island that was home to Lord Turin's elite enclave of soldiers. The island was attacked by an unknown force that wiped the enclave from the face of the map. Barren and scorched.

Iosipes Crescent

A crescent-shaped island in the south. Said to have an outbreak of plague.

Greyfolk Isle

An oddly-shaped island southeast of Tanton. Had two towns on it that were previously owned by Duke Hexen, and have since been abandoned. Also home to creatures known as the greyfolk. Griseham is considering plans for colonizing Greyfolk Isle.

Tearstone Island

A small, rocky island far to the north. A veritable warehouse of gemstones, and the cornerstone of Lord Turin's economy. Almost impregnable.
