Eyrina Haford is a character in Planetary Strife. A Captain within the IceStar Alliance, she commands the Phalanx. She's a celebrity within the Alliance, and is somewhat-renowned for the feat of killing a battlecruiser with a T-86 Starlancer.
Physical Traits and Appearance
23-years-old, about 5'7", and weighs 147 pounds. Pale skin, hazel eyes, dark red elbow-length hair. Strong and agile. Usually wears the navy-blue uniforms of the IceStar Alliance, along with a black cloak which covers several armaments clipped along her belt.
Mentality
Intelligent and mentally swift. Emotionally distant. Highly reckless, likely a result of her age and inexperience, yet paradoxically cautious and careful. When angered or determined, she holds little regard for her own life. At all other times, however, she's all too aware of her mortality, and has a persistent feeling of vulnerability. To compensate, she trained heavily in hand-to-hand combat and in the vast array of weaponry she carries on her person at all times.
Tends to be a bit insecure in command, particularly when situations fall solely to her. Enjoys theatrics and drama, and holds a special disdain for challenges to her abilities.
Residence
Tauras. However, she usually sleeps on the Phalanx.
Occupation and Hobbies
An IceStar Alliance mercenary with the rank of Captain, and commander of the ISA Phalanx. She's a bit of a celebrity within mercenary circles, furthered since she tends to be given public missions that attract a lot of attention or notoriety.
When not on duty, she tends to work on ship designs. Also tends to look at old Derilict Republic files and communiques.

Eyrina tends to remain distant from others, and doesn't have many personal contacts.

History
Born 102 NE, not much is known about her early life. Only the last four years of her life are available.
Joining the IceStar Alliance and the Battle of Legacy (122 NE | Age 19 - 122 NE | Age 20)
In a stolen T-86 Starlancer, Eyrina joined the IceStar Alliance at the early age of 19. Initially met with skepticism, she almost botched her first mission hunting raiders, getting ambushed by them and barely escaping with her life. A second attempt secured her quarry, but she demonstrated little skill or talent.
Shortly after her 20th birthday, however, she wound up entangled in the Battle of Legacy. Desperate to prove herself, she proceeded to recklessly attack the flagship battlecruiser of the enemy with her Starlancer. In an unprecedented blend of talent and extreme luck, she managed to bring the battlecruiser down.
Captain of the Phalanx (122 NE | Age 20 - 125 NE | Age 23)
After the Battle of Legacy, she took a battered, modified X-29 frigate as her prize. She was promptly given a major promotion to the rank of Captain for her success, along with a large reward in cash. Running several more missions in her T-86 Starlancer, she eventually earned enough to have the frigate repaired and modified to her taste. Having four ports installed on its wings to hold IS-34 Quadfury Heavy Fighters, and several weapon upgrades, she named the ship the Phalanx. After getting a small crew, she turned in her T-86 Starlancer and proceeded to perform missions with the ISA Phalanx.
Her takedown of the battlecruiser earned her great notoriety within mercenary circles, and she became something of a celebrity within the IceStar Alliance. Despite this, inner circles of the Alliance recognize that her feat was more of luck than it was of skill. However, whenever a particularly public mission was performed, the Phalanx was the one typically handling it.
At the end of 124 NE, she was assigned to the Coruscate System to perform various tasks for the Alliance. Assisting in the civil war effort, she wound up getting a critical mission regarding a Derilict Republic strike force en route to Borea.
