Coruscate
Coruscate is a system in Planetary Strife. It's a massive system consisting of thirteen different planets, all of which are uninhabitable. However, the planets are veritable storehouses of mineral wealth. As such, the planets have been colonized, with enclosed cities being built to support a somewhat normal way of life. As a result of the mineral wealth of the planet, the system rose to be an economic and military power greater than any other.
However, the system is currently in a state of civil war. The inner 6 planets and the outer 5 planets are engaged in a conflict regarding who should be Sarissa, which is the Coruscate Government's Sovereign. The brutal war has raged for several years, and has exhausted Coruscate's economic and military power, leaving it a mere shadow of what it once was. Thus far, the inner planets are winning, in part due to the intervention of the IceStar Alliance.
Coruscate is located near the Derilict and Borea Systems.
Coruscate Currency
Coruscate, with its previously-booming economy, developed its own currency. It revolves around Ametium, a mineral mined on Amethine. Aside from raw Ametium being a barterable good, the Corus, coinage consist of simple bronze with Ametium cores, have also entered circulation. A single Corus is worth 34 Gold Standard. The coins in the system are:
- 1 Corus Coin (34 Gold)
- 5 Corus Coin (170 Gold)
- 15 Corus Coin (510 Gold)
- 30 Corus Coin (1020 Gold)
- 75 Corus Coin (2550 Gold)
- 125 Corus Coin (4250 Gold)
Since the civil war in the system, it has mostly gone back to Standard currency, since the booming economy that supported such expensive currency collapsed. However, Coruses are still valid currency within the Coruscate system.
