Length

  • 1 Astronomical Saeron (AstroSaeron, ASn) = 1,000 Saerons
    • 590,480 ASn per hour = Speed of Light
  • 1 Saeron (Sn) = 1.136 Miles (2,000 yards)
  • 100 Centisaerons (cSn) = 1 Sn

Gravity

  • 100 Stans = 1 G (The average gravity of Earth)

Currency

Standard

  • Gold (G)- Primary unit (not related to actual gold)
    • 16 Silvers (S)= 1 Gold
      • 100 Coppers (C)= 1 Silver

Other

Some small systems have their own measure of currency. However, most are ignored completely, and all are used solely for local trading. All intersystem trade uses the Standard System

Time

Time is measured based on hours and minutes, dates are usually managed locally, with interplanetary travel using UY (Universal Years, 400 24-hour days). Anything that involves time will almost always include a converter between local time and UY time.

Date

The fact that dates used a 365.25-day calendar before 0 DE is commonly ignored, except in the realms of higher knowledge.

Purity

Amt

The Amt scale is used in grading the purity of Ametium alloys. Scale ranges from 10,000 (pure) to 1 (0.01% Ametium)

  • So far, the purest Ametium alloy in the known galaxy belongs to a part in an unnamed super-reactor, weighing in at 896 Amt (8.96% Ametium)

Mark Scale

The Mark system is used to denote the quality and size of ship equipment, corresponding to the ship they're expected to be mounted on.

  • Mark I (Civilian-class) - This class is generally reserved for civilian vehicles.
  • Mark II (Fighter-class) - The first real measure on the mark system. Equipment intended for fighters or small attack craft.
  • Mark III (Skirmisher-class) - Heavy fighters, skirmishers, and raiders.
  • Mark IV (Corvette-class) - The weakest components outfitted on full-fledged warships.
  • Mark V (Frigate-class) - Components intended for frigates. Civilian frigates generally use Mark III components. This is also generally the best a civilian can get access to.
  • Mark VI (Destroyer-class) - Components meant for destroyers. Most systems outlaw ships mounted with Mark V weaponry or better.
  • Mark VII (Dreadnought-class) - Components designed for heavy warships. Equipment at this point tends to be larger than some smaller ships.
  • Mark VIII (Battlecruiser-class) - Weaponry and equipment meant to be mounted on the finest battleships.
  • Mark IX (Supercruiser-class) - Only the largest of ships can even support these components. A single cannon can be larger than a corvette.
  • Mark X - The biggest class. Notably, components can be of any size; the only requirements is that they're very rare, very powerful, and very expensive. Dylithanium Artillery Rounds are the poster-child of the Mark X class.
