Torchlight
A cylindrical light source, a Torchlight is a miniaturized and artificed carbide lamp. Removing the water reservoir of larger carbide lamps, Torchlights instead use artifice to draw in water vapor from the atmosphere around the lamp to react with the calcium carbide. When a switch is pressed on the light, water is allowed to seep into the generator, producing acetylene gas. This is automatically lit by artifice around the base, creating a stable and luminous flame.
