Corellia
Corellia is the plane upon which w-dueck was raised. Unknown to the rest of the universe. Named after the city-state of Corel.
Connections
This plane has no known connections to any other known planes of existence.
Magic
At its creation, the plane was infused with heavy amounts of magic. This magic has formed into many magical creatures and beasts.
Mages
At a child's conception, there is a chance that the embryo will be infused with larger-than-normal amounts of magic. This child will later become a mage, skilled in manipulating Corellian Magic (which is in essence Ancient Magic). If one of the parents is a mage, the chance of having a mage child is multiplied tenfold. If both parents are mages, the child is guaranteed to have magical ability, although the amount is still questionable.
Corellia does not have a feasable 'school' for mages, thus many mages learn to control their powers independently, thus no two mages use the magic the same way. Some mages manipulate by weaving 'threads', while some must invoke a cantrip of some sort, such as a word or physical gesture. Some even report that they only have to think of it happening, and it will happen.
Geography
Corellia is composed of two large continents (Cylaes and Hybenon) in a large ocean. Large ice caps cover both poles. The continents are largely forested and mountainey, although a large desert takes up some of Hybenon.
History
Notable Nations
- Corel - One of the larger nations in Corellia. Grew from a city-state to an empire after the fall of its enemy, Cylan. The plane was unknowingly named after it. Composed of twelve provinces (Cylaes: Corel, Cylan, Fernsyth, Llyman, Mead, Dialen, Philian, Baende, Soalon; Hybenon: Deseret, Corus, Mylain) over both continents. Ruled by a woman from the royal family until death. The current Queen of Corel is Mykella'elth.
- Cylan - An ancient nation, invaded by Corel 2,000 years ago. Original location is currently Cylan Province of Corel.
