Nioca's Citadel
Nioca's home. A large, multi-floored citadel built by shades, Nioca's citadel resides on the east side of Refuge Isle near the Blades of Avernum Forum.
The citadel is made mostly of enchanted stone designed to resist attack. It's defended by Shades alone, since Nioca has not yet been able to contract out a mage to place wards on it. He also intends to house mercenaries in the Citadel both for guarding the Refuge and to bring in a steady source of income for Nioca.
The citadel is currently incomplete; everything above the fourth floor has yet to be built.
First Floor - Living Quarters
The ground floor is Nioca's living quarters. The south wing consists of various rooms meant for an audience. The foyer, parlor, ballroom/audience chamber, dining hall, and lavatory are all available for any guests Nioca might have at the citadel. The north wing is mostly made up of rooms not meant for guests, aside from the set of guest quarters. A kitchen, food and wine stores, and a stairway down to the basement are housed within the north wing. Also located there is Nioca's bedchambers, and through there, the concealed stairway down into Nioca's bunker.
Second Floor - Armory and Mercenary Quarters
The second floor serves two purposes; first, it acts as an armory, storing a variety of weaponry for Nioca and the Refuge. Second, it will act in the future as mercenary quarters, providing housing for mercenaries and adventurers. The idea is to house mercenaries for a small cost, providing Nioca a steady income and cheap guards for Refuge Isle.
Third Floor - Library and Planning Offices
A small tome library, along with plans and records relating to the citadel, are stored on the third floor. It also is home to biographical accounts of every friendly person to set foot in Calamity Refuge.
Fourth Floor - Reagent Supply and Alchemical Laboratories
The fourth floor serves as a warehouse for potions and alchemical ingredients. It also acts as a laboratory for producing various potions and brews for use within the Refuge.
Fifth Floor - AvernumScript Laboratories
The AvernumScript Laboratories on the fifth floor are the most extensive on Refuge Isle. Built with its own personal Blades Nexus, the lab is made for any BladesCraft that Nioca wishes to experiment with, ranging from creature augmentation to item enhancing to even warping reality.
Sixth Floor - Citadel Defense
The floor where the citadel's defensive measures are located. Aside from ballistae and archer ports, the floor houses controls for the various security measures around the citadel, along with overrides to shut down power to certain floors.
Seventh Floor - Power Core
The main power supply of the Citadel. Contains the primary power crystal that powers all the other machinery and magical devices.
