Yamato is [[Vergil|Vergil’s]] favorite Katana. It has a long, thin blade that has a undercoat of pure Sapphire which is enchanted with an unknown power. Has a silver and black handle with intricate designs. A Diamond is encrusted in the hilt of the blade. A keepsake from his father, [[Cinead]], Yamato is a deadly weapon that can cleave through anything. Forged in the [[Fire Plane]], Vergil will use this more than anything else. And while being a keepsake of [[Cinead]], it ironically was the blade to take his life.

It cannot be lost; the blade will return to Vergil if he ever is parted with it. This, however, has caused Vergil some headache in the past; one more than one occasion, the blade's idea of returning resulted in it being buried in a part of his anatomy. It will also serve no being besides Vergil unless he designates the being.

Katanas like Yamato are a specific type of katana made available to high ranking generals, or nobility, of the [[Fire Plane]]
