== Physical Appearance ==
w-dueck was approximately 5'5" tall and weighs 85 lbs. He suffers from frailness, for currently unknown reasons, and relies heavily upon a staff. He commonly wears robes, seldom with the hood down.

== Mentality ==

w-dueck has had more years of life experience than anyone at the [[Calamity Refuge|Refuge]] even guessed. He wasn't forthcoming about his past or his storehouses of knowledge, though. While he's usually all business, certain circumstances had brought out more of his personality. Events have shows that whatever he did, he did it whole-heartedly by jumping in with both feet, most times throwing caution and common sense to the wind. Whether it was a personal relationship or a vendetta w-dueck tackled it with great passion and little thought to his own safety or well-being.

== Residence ==

w-dueck resided in the top level of [[Calamity Refuge|Calamity Refuge's]] [[Admin Tower]]. [[Jewels]] and [[NPCs_in_FTaWSotR#Connected_to_w-dueck|Jumara]] are the only other people to have been inside it other than w-dueck. It seems to be very office-like in nature with lots of hallways with doors lining them. It reportedly took Jewels an hour to find his bathroom. Sylae has since remodeled it.

== Duties ==
As creator of [[Calamity Refuge]], w-dueck was tasked with upkeeping the magical foundation on which [[Calamity Refuge]] lies. With the help of [[Jewels]] he administrated the Forum of the [[Calamity Refuge|Refuge]]. He was also charged with maintaining the [[SimpleBots]] of the Refuge.

== Possessions ==

w-dueck's primary and most important possession was his [[Staff of Adminship]]. Other possessions include his vast collection of spellbooks, which, through some sort of phenomenon, all managed to fit in his robe, with plenty of room to spare, and his potion-making kit, which was ironically the same size as his skill in the science.

w-dueck also kept an array of throwing daggers about his person, in the unlikely event that he lost his magical powers, but no records showed their use.

== Relations with others ==
=== Jewels ===

Romantic in nature. Through the Time Loop Incident, w-dueck respected [[Jewels]] and trusted her enough to give her Adminship with him. In the Flames of War, she returns that trust by letting him be her escort as she fulfilled her duties to provide an heir to the Water and Fire planes. When she let Kaylas keep his assumption that the baby was his, w-dueck began pondering that possibility. In New Blood, Bad Blood his feelings for her surface with a surprise proposal though circumstances lead her to reject him. Through the Destruction of the VRP, Jewels realized her love for him and risks everything to rescue him from an enemy dungeon where they share some steamy moments. When he is killed, she searches for his soul to return it to his body. By the beginning of Rebirth, they are wed, supposedly to live happily ever after. But Jewels's fire fever caused her to destroy his body and sends her on a search for a new one. The only one available, though, is female. Jewels's relationship with w-dueck comes to an end and her relationship with Sylae begins.

[[Robsta]] hasn't been seen in a while. w-dueck missed him often.

=== Nioca ===

It might be better not to go there. w-dueck thought [[Nioca]] was slightly off his rocker, seeing as he tried to kill [[Jewels]] -- or she tried to kill him -- something like that. However, he knew that Nioca could get the job done, and do it very well. When Nioca tried to take over the Refuge, though, w-dueck misled him into turning himself into a bot.

=== Nalyd ===

w-dueck was quick enough to trust [[Nalyd]] with a moderator's position and was more than grateful for Nalyd saving his life in [[The Flames of War]] arc, but ever since Nalyd stole away with Jewels' baby to perform shaping experiments on it, he's been rather wary of him.

=== Vergil ===

[[Vergil]] seemed very erratic to w-dueck. When Vergil was an Admin, he was very responsible in his duties but w-dueck didn't approve of many of Vergil's methods.

== History ==

As events have unfolded, it has become apparent that w-dueck's life before the Refuge was a large and complex cycle, and that he doesn't really care for it being revealed, although he has given up denying or hiding it.

Born Akkare Nilux d'Cylan to Ice elemental Elder Llyth (Jiendra) and the last Duke of Cylan (human). In the city of Cylan, country Corel, world/plane Corellia/n roughly 2000 years ago.

He grew up in the care of the Duke believing that his mother was killed by his father when he was six weeks old. At some point, he begain training to be a mage, becoming quite proficient. When a young man, he went against his father's wishes who ordered him put to death for it. w-dueck escaped and went into hiding though Akkare was declared officially dead by his father.

He began taking on many names in his wandering, notably Mage, Thornslasher, and Vermillo. Being half ice elemental, his physical age stayed around his 20's-30's and he outlasted the dynasty of his father. His visage became legend, being known in history as the Fallen Prince who performed deeds both good and evil throughout the land.

w-dueck has proposedly sired many children in his 2000 years one of which is still alive. Kelyn Nilux, leader of the Syphria Clan in or near Deseret.

Fourteen years before the present time, he was posed as a Corel Lancer called Mage working with Jumara and disappeared. Presumed dead.

He blames a magical accident for his plane-jumping to the internet plane but has never explained it further.

For the last 5 years, w-dueck has been on the Internet Plane creating the Refuge, its Administration magics, and learning how to use them.
