== Who are the VRP? ==
They are an [[Ermaria|Ermarian]] organization founded in the city of Vaw whose main purpose is to find the Designers, the 'gods' of their plane, and destroy them. They view the Designers as oppressive and heartless beings that plague their land with disaster after disaster for their own amusement. Any who would stand in their way are also counted as enemies.

== VRP actions during The Flames of War ==
They first show up in the very beginning of [[The Flames of War]] arc when [[Nioca]] has a time vision. If the events of the [[Time-Fracture Incident]] hadn't happened, an assassin would have been successful in killing [[Jewels]], [[w-dueck]], [[Robsta]], and [[Nalyd]]. The first three with their souls destroyed forever. With the time shift, however, no one but Nioca is present for the assassin to attempt to kill. Nioca succeeds in deflecting his attack, but the assassin teleports away before Nioca can kill him.

Nioca is spurned to go to Ermaria and investigate the assassin convincing w-dueck, Robsta, and Nalyd to go with him but w-dueck goes ahead of him and is kidnapped, taken to Vaw, and tortured by the VRP. The priests at Gvelston Sanctuary send [[Syla]] as an emissary to ask for w-dueck's release but they take her captive, too, and announce that they will be killing both of them in the morning by beheading. Forced into action, Nioca starts to discover the extent of his powers using [[FTaWSotR_Magic_Lexicon#BladesCraft|BladesCraft]]. He manages to teleport himself to Vaw and teleport out with the other two before the blades touch their necks.

Nioca decides to help fight the [[Fire Elementals|'demons']] that are attacking Ermaria to try to show the VRP that the Designers don't just cause trouble, but can also be helpful, but the VRP were not impressed and the same assassin that had shown up at [[Calamity Refuge]] soon made another attempt on Robsta's life.

== VRP actions during New Blood, Bad Blood ==

Being unsuccessful on their previous attempts, the VRP send more assassins after the designers of Calamity Refuge. First a group of them trail Nioca to [[Tesara Post]] and ambush him at a Google Station. He barely manages to get back to the Refuge, poison running strong through his veins. Nalyd was able to purge the poison from Nioca's body, but just as soon as he had left the [[Geneforge Forum]], they had to carry Jewels in, being hit by a dart tipped with the same fast acting poison.

Shortly afterwards, [[The Stranger]] shows up forcing Nioca to hear what he has to say and give him a room for the night. He is a member of the VRP but he's there to collect information instead of kill them. To prove it, he preemptively kills the assassin who shot Jewels. The Stranger also cures Syla from a Noob bite and cures Jewels from Nalyd's poison antidote apparently in an attempt to gain Nioca's trust and cooperation.
