''From the Ashes'', or "FtA". The time period is set in a time several centuries after the fall of an industrial empire where the prominent feudal societies still struggle to maintain their power or even existence. Governments in the world are typically scattered and unstable, falling to coups and reducing the progress of technology greatly.

The lands of FtA are still being revealed as they are written, and a map is not available at this point.

The current cast includes the following in the order that they appeared:

*[[Kaegan Kieran]] - A student of magic and swordsmanship.
*[[Luca Kieran]] - A student of magic, and the sister of Kaegan.
*[[Amarac Doran]] - Second-Seat Master at the [[Somand Mage's College at Eyer]]
*[[Talryn]] - An Eye for the Council of Tidewatch.
*[[Kiro]] - a refugee and master of Shadowmancy in all but name.
*[[Kaiya]] - a refugee and master of Shadowmancy.
*[[Aulus Canius Sulla]] - Tyrant of [[Orthaeum]].
*[[Nepenthe]] - Luminary of [[Orthaeum]].
*[[Fiora Sae Grue]] - Wind Listener from [[Kavaccet]], granted with The Knowledge.
*[[Civyl Tor Dyias]] - Fire Dancer from [[Kavaccet]], granted with The Sight.
*[[Alex Birchwood]] - Swordsman and reluctant Water Walker, living in Brittner village.
