IceStar is a system in Planetary Strife. Once a resort-esque system, the fall of the Human Confederation resulted in all government breaking down within. The one inhabitable planet was turned into a chemical and radioactive wasteland, and the rest can't support human life. The system's star is a blue giant, and it has four planets orbiting it.

One notable feature of the IceStar system is that it has drifted into an asteroid belt. This has resulted in large chunks of rock floating through the system. The IceStar system is also home to heavy debris from wrecked ships and satellites, making it the stellar equivalent of a landfill.

Whilst the original population abandoned it, a new one has taken its place. The IceStar system is well-known as a lawless zone. Pirates and criminals of all sorts freely roam in its borders without any sort of government or control. The closest thing the IceStar system has to a government is the IceStar Alliance, a powerful mercenary group based in the system.

The IceStar system originally had a ring, but it, along with the ring it connected to, was destroyed during the Battle of the IceStar Ring. It is now only accessible by ships with interstellar capabilities.
